In 2001, when The Game was shot and critically wounded during a failed drug deal, he laid lifeless in a hospital bed for several days. After awaking from a coma, he decided to put his past behind him and pursue a rap career. Seven years later, the Compton born rapper is about to embark on the release of his third studio album. Set for release this June, L.A.X. (Los Angeles Times) will include Big Dreams, a Cool & Dre produced street single which was recorded immediately following The Game’s recent release from prison. Though the rapper has stated in various interviews that L.A.X. will be his last album, an increasingly sublime delivery and amplified lyrical flair will make it difficult to simply walk away.

The Game is one of the few mainstream rappers who I can definitely ride with. He made a superb decision by leaving G-Unot and pursuing a career that allowed to shine to his fully potential. He is carrying the entire West Coast on his shoulders right out and there's no one in sight to take his place if he follows through with his retirement. Cool & Dre are pretty underrated producers in my eyes. The Game spits that good 'ol L.A. boom-bap. His flow is always on point and his tone is as good as it gets.

Pretty. I thought he picked it up big time nearer to the end of the song, that was beautiful. But because it seemed stronger to me nearer the end that threw it off some balance that would make it a complete classic. But at the same time I think it is a classic, it's just it could have been better.
