Back in March, The-Dream provided a new, club-centric beat and guest vocals for a remix of Mariah Carey’s Touch My Body, the first single off the singer’s eleventh studio album, the platinum-selling E=MC² . Though DJBooth regulars were unable to reach a consensus as to whether or not Dream’s contributions were an improvement on the original, Carey clearly enjoyed working with the singer/songwriter/producer, as she recently returned the favor by jumping on board for a new record off his forthcoming sophomore LP, Love vs. Money. More romantic in tone than Dream’s previous two single selections, Let Me See the Booty and Rockin’ That Thang, My Love finds the two collaborators supporting each other unconditionally, regardless of what anyone else has to say about their relationship. LOS da Maestro’s production holds no surprises for those familiar with his previous work with Dream, but Mimi’s guest feature will no doubt spur increased sales when Love vs. Money hits stores on February 17th.

The production is fire! The joint was decent. Mariah sounded different...actually refreshingly different...a little grittier. Guess Nick's been in there putting it down. LOL.

^^^ Okay the Nick Cannon comment was hilarious! It's been a while since we've heard a song with this kind of feel to it on the booth. I think this is the realm that the-dream really thrives in and where he doesn't sound a bit ridiculous. And MC actually sounds like mariah many many years ago, a lot more emotion and really digging into the song. Can definitely see this track getting quite a few plays.

The dream is one of my favorite artist and I have to admit that for some reasons a lot of his songs take some time to grow on me, but after a few listens the shit is amazing

The Dream is really a grower artist. The way he uses his voice on this track is beautiful, but the echo in the back is a little annoying. This is a great collaboration though which makes up for all the little problems with this song. Not his fresh artist stuff but good otherwise.

-“Love in this club remix” beat (specially the piano throughout: use it without any modification) -“Rocking that thang” beat & melody (if you don’t have much of that, ask the very own The-Dream…) Now how come you “steal” you own stuff The-Dream?!? I loved this song, especially the beat. This is one of my favorite The-Dream songs right now. It isn't better than "Rockin' That Thang", but it's close. I loved hearing Mariah Carey's voice on this track too. This was hot.

I like "Rockin That Thang" - then I heard "My Love". THIS is the best song I've heard (yet) from Dream's new album. I see alot of our members agree (smart, very smart).
PS. Can you count Mariah Carey guest features on one hand?

If this is the best you've heard from the album yet, I'm not even going to bother listening to it. This is kind of boring- all of his tracks sound the same and Mariah is just the same Mariah- she has a good voice. I wouldn't turn it off if it was on the radio- but I would never request it or turn it up. It's ok- that's it and that's that.

Typical Dream track. Homie, please switch up ya sounds. Don't get me wrong it doesn't sound bad at all, but it does sound like every other song you have put out. I liked your first album because it was different and unlike anything I had heard in a while, I won't be able to say that this time around. Alotta folks feel like I do. I never question your talent or enact for sound, but this is seeming alil safe.
