Following the release of their iTunes-exclusive EP this past November, in addition to collaborations with Paula DeAnda and Sean Kingston along the way, The DEY is finally ready to release their long-awaited debut this summer. On the album’s new lead single, I Need You, singer Élan Rivera is performing a show at a Brooklyn nightspot, when she is greeted by a fan she ends up falling in love with. Having gone through similar situations, MCs Divine and Yeyo come to Élan’s aid and quickly make mention of all the females who have captivated them. With a great storyline and radio-ready production, expect I Need You to become a summer anthem. The DEY Has Come is currently set for release off Epic Records, July 26.
This song right here is a BANGER!! Everything just fits in "Perfect" on this song!! The hook is bangin just as well as the lyrics and flow of the song!! Sad thing is Epic needs to promote more, haven't seen alot of DEY around here, but hopefully they will a little while before the album drops.
The D.E.Y. = The Black Eye Peas meet Destiny's Child. They have the potential to blow up on radio because their style compliments a multiple range of genres. I love the strong and direct hook. The uplifting production is a great mix between soul and hip-hop.
About time they drop this album. I almost forgot who they were. This group is solid. I hope this album doesn't disappoint; they have great chemistry as a group.
The kind of song you hear all the time and regardless of its massive airplay, you just keep listening because it is that good. The DEY are the first English/Spanish act to get signed through a non-Spanish division at a major record label. Give these guys (and girl) major props!!!
I've been behind this groups since they came out on the DJBooth wit "Get The Feeling." This song isn't quite as hot as that one, but its pretty tight. If the group ever breaks up, then Elan could have a decent solo career with her amazing vocals.
