Three of the bigger up-and-coming names in Latino urban music have teamed up to make music the common man can relate to. Looking back on their relationships, rappers Divine and Yeyo (of group The D.E.Y.) along with singer Notch wonder where it all went wrong in Where Did She Go. From the all-too-important female perspective, Lumidee asks the same question with her sixteen bars; how could a man let such a loyal and strong woman go? The Art of Sound Group‘s Bangah brings a hypnotic, troubled beat to fittingly enhance Where Did She Go‘s emotion, making it a potential favorite among those who have experienced similar relationship problems. Where Did She Go is a street single from the upcoming compilation album La Conekta (set to be released this winter).
Definitely not digging the production. This song does not add up to the previous debut single by The D.E.Y. NOT AT ALL! The flow of the rap verse at the beginning is mad boring. It truly made want to turn it off. The hook is really bad as well. That's bad meaning bad, not bad meaning good. I only stayed on the track to see what Lumidee brought. She made this track semi-good, but not too much more.
The D.E.Y. have made some decent tracks. I need hear more from them. Notch does a great job; he has some serious skills. He does reggae, spanish, soca, and r&b songs.
This song will not be on The DEY's debut album, dropping this July. With that said... Latin music is going to seriously TAKEOVER the next few years. Hip-Hop (as Nathan has eluded to in his Elephant Man review) is growing internationally... and this is a good thing.
i cant put my finger on it but this song needs work, it feels like its all over the place. and the beat isnt wat i thought it would be, sounds like a demo cd needs more time in the oven to cook a lil more. i dont see this song growing on me at all, the raps is too weak 4 me to like. so i have to give it 2 out of 5
