Believe it or not, soft drink companies are buying into the music business. Mountain Dew has spearheaded the “free music download” concept, establishing a unique roster of up-and-coming artists who will release their tunes on the all-new Green Label Sound. Kicking off the initiative are eclectic Chicago duo, The Cool Kids, who have taken the hip-hop underground and the Net by storm this past year. ”Green Label Sound is giving artists like ourselves an opportunity to get to a different scale than we were previously on,” said Mikey Rocks. Featured inside our DJBooth and available for free download is the label’s first “single-only” release, Delivery Man, which is also produced by the duo. The Cool Kids will wrap up their summer touring with two remaining dates on the Rock the Bells tour (8/21 in Denver and 9/6 in Washington).
This is crazy! I said a while back that I was worried their creative sound would someday take a toll on me and wear out. They knew what they were doing though because they still made a hot, unique beat without the random noise effects and old school sound. I love it all, these guys are the truth. They switched it up on this one like all artists should once in a while. If you havent copped their CD yet, DO IT!
please, any one who either plays/writes/produces music can see this Is one of the most original songs out today. This track stands up against any true classic. anyone who doesnt like this song has bad taste. not even there most original but definently in the top three best songs by the cool kids. And if you check you a interview with the cool kids you will understand how much they know about the past and present of hip hop. they have impeccable taste in music and they will tell you staight up whos good and whos bunk
