To whet fans’ appetites for his sophomore album, Chemical Warfare, set to be released on February 10, veteran producer The Alchemist has dropped a preview EP entitled The Alchemist’s Cookbook.  Hoping to once again turn hard rock into gold, Alc has prepared some Therapy for new-school artists who still love the old school.  Cleveland’s KiD CuDi handles the baritone hook as Dilated Peoples frontman Evidence and his fellow West Coaster Blu each dig deep into their souls for a few low-level verses.  Over guitar/brass production from the man in the chef hat, all three guest artists show that a little Therapy can go a long way toward ending that “hip-hop is dead” chitchat.

I like these joints with some of the new, hot spitting freshmen and I'm liking Kid Cudi's hooks lately. Paranoid on Kanye's new album is flame. The track sort of started slowly with the first verse. BUT...I didn't dig this track too much. I didn't like Evidence's verse at all. The production never went anywhere. I was waiting forever for the production to go somewhere...but it never did. Blu did his thing on the second verse. He's definitely one of my favorite rappers right now...but this track never really went anywhere. The hook sort of became catchy by the second go round. Sad to say, this is only okay. I don't why the track lacks a lot of things, but it does. It's sort of sad that it does seeing the top cats that are on the tracks. Interesting.

This beat is alil annoying. Too repetitive for me. Evidence was boring on this one. I hate to say it , cause I'm a big alchemist fan, but this one is not on point. However I wanna hear more from KID CuDi his vocals on Kanye's album really brought soulto the songs he was featured on.
