Today, we find The Alchemist where we last left him: preparing his sophomore album, Chemical Warfare. In the year’s time since his first buzz single, Key to the City, hit the DJBooth, the SoCal producer with the NYC sound has been hard at work, finally securing a release date (October 28) for the project. Benefiting from his two-coast background, he brings over three heavyweights for the first ‘official’ single. East Coast vets Jadakiss and Pusha T spit a few of their rawest verses to date (where else would you hear about a Colombian necktie?), while Snoop Dogg adds a public service announcement for the hook: the street life is not for everyone, so, if you choose it, you should be prepared to Lose Your Life at any time. I am feeling this beat by alchemist! He is a very good beat maker! Jadakiss starts the track off strong and his voice is STILL sick to this day! Great lyrics and Great flow on here! Pusha T does his thing on here too. The chorus by Snoop is good. This is a Certified DJ BLAZE BANGER!

Alchemist is in top 5 producers..i dont care what anybody says..he makes sure his featured artists spit creditable verses (unlike other "producers"..IM LOOKIN AT YOU KHALED AND DJ DRAMA)...I meam you only have to look at his last album 1ST INFANTRY TO SEE THAT...HE GOT WEST COAST, EAST COAST AND SOWN SOUTH RAPPERS ON TRACKS TOGETHER!!!

LMAO..BARBO..Hold you down was released as a single for 1st infantry (1st album) 4-5 years ago.
Lyrically this track is 5 star quality...and the beat is 4.5 for me...(alchemist for me is the best hip hop producer of my time..the way he samples beats is AMAZING LOL) |
