It’s not easy being the Voice of the Commonwealth, but the always lyrically laced Thad Reid makes it sound that way. Although we haven’t heard from the Virginia representer since way back in November on his Booth approved cut Suffer Too, Reid’s obviously been spending that time wisely, crafting tracks like his new leak We Won’t Stop (shades of Puff Daddy on the chorus anyone?). Making its worldwide premiere right here, We Won’t Stop is first driven by a pounding, stripped down beat courtesy of producer Antagonist that Reid uses to flex his microphone muscles with aggressive punchlines: “I got my own click, runnin Al Capone s**t, they on some never won a title Karl Malone s**t.” Damn! Why you gotta do the Mailman like that Reid? If you can’t stop banging We Won’t Stop out your speakers be sure to keep an ear out for Reid’s DJBooth-presented project Target Practice, set to drop on April 20.

It's funny that Nathan mentions Puff Daddy in his feature write-up, because when Thad sent us the record that is the first thing that popped up in my head. The only thing missing from this song if it were to be an actual Diddy-inspired jam would be a few "take that, take that" ad libs. Just kidding, I digress...
The minimalistic production lets Reid do his thing and when he spits he takes control of a song. There is something about his delivery that makes you listen. Not sure what it is, but it works. |

Lyrically on point, good delivery. Would've liked the beat to not be as monotonous as it was, also felt the same about the hook. Im feelin Reid as an artist tho, def lookin forward to hearin more from this guy.

This is too simple for me, does well as a freestyle or mixtape cut tho.

Inoffensive while it lasts, the song has very little to no replay value for me.

This does sound like one of these late '90s-early 2000s bangers-Nathan's Puff mentions brings up a big thought of mine...if only Biggie had lived long enough to hear this, this would've been something he'd SLAUGHTERED on a verse! Thad does his thing though for the 2010 era.
Antagonist, your flight is boarding...(and I believe the plane had previously been used by Timbo) |

I am really feeling this. Not much to the production but worked to his advantage cause Reid got raps.He carried the song well.I actually saw him perform this live for the first time a week ago and he killed it

Really feeling this. The production is minimalistic, but it serves Reid well on this one... really allows him to flex his delivery. Solid introduction to the new project.

Raps and getting there with a flow that certainly improves on Jay-Z. Wouldn’t mind hearing a fully cleaned version.
