The 146th entry in our DJBooth.net Freestyle Series comes courtesy of Tha Future, the DMV native who earned reader acclaim for mixtape leak Star back in January. On his brand new, exclusive Shake freestyle, the up-and-coming emcee flows over a Cool & Dre-produced instrumental originally featured on Game‘s track of the same name. Tha Future is currently preparing for the release of his debut mixtape, Ready to Launch v1.0, as well as working with fellow rising stars as CEO of indie label 4 Alarm Entertainment.
Readers can download a copy of the newly-released In the Booth (Volume 3), featuring exclusive freestyles 61 through 90, here! Volumes one and two are available for download here and here.

With all due respect to Game, whom I have supported for years, Future KILLED this beat. When Cool and Dre concocted this production I am sure they had THIS "Shake" in mind.
Hopefully others will take notice, Future. I'll see to it. |

I think the only rappers who could justice to this beat is the classic Dipset with Juelz Killa n Capo

I thought I would hate this song like Game's but Future added a nice and fresh flow to it. Lyrically he was forgettable but I'm impressed that I wasn't annoyed like I was on Game's record.

I didn't think there was much territory left to explore after Game's version, but first Joell Ortiz and Future managed to significantly expand on the original. Big props to Future on the flow, especially when he hits that double-time portion int the middle of the freestyle.
....and bake. |

I appreciate everyone's feedback and criticisms. Makes me work harder at what I do. Keep in mind that this is only a freestyle. Reading that everyone thinks it's better than Game's version is an achievement within itself! Couldn't ask for anything more. Thanks!
