Although their record deal with Cash Money collapsed after only three months, Tha Dogg Pound is still focused on continuing to make the same kind of street music they’ve pumped out for the past 15 years.  On their third go-round since reconciling in ‘05, Daz and Kurupt look to rework their planned West Coast Aftershocc and have thought of at least 100 Wayz to do it.  Knowing most radio singles nowadays are geared towards a female audience, the two Long Beach Crips ask their ladies to “Cheat on ya man girl, that’s how you get ah-izz-ead.”  With a Pharrell Williams sample (from mentor Snoop’s ’04 anthem, Drop It Like It’s Hot) and a pulse-heavy beat from Daz, expect Cheat to be a hit with street-inclined women - and every man on the planet.

It's weird to not hear snoop on a Dogg Pound track. I don't think it can work without him. It's kinda like Tupac and the Outlawz (they still good, but nowhere near their true potential). The production is very tight which saves the track in my opinion. They spit generically over the beat...I'll play it again for the beat!

Tha Dogg Pound is always overshadowed by big uncle Snoop for a reason. When you say their name you think of Snoop before Kurupt and Daz. Like Blaze mentioned, it's was the same situation with Pac/The Outlawz and also Biggie/Junior M.A.F.I.A. They could have done better than a Pharrell sample and hook needs some reworking.

I have had the good fortune to see Tha Dogg Pound in concert several times. They are some of the best live performers I have ever seen (that is, for rappers). This is good, but is is it press-repeat good?

Pharrell nice work on the beat. This has to be a hit track. First Snoops Ego Trippin and now this. The West is Back. Get ready.
