Termanology - I See Dead People
Artist: Termanology
Producer: The Alchemist
Album: Time Machine (Hood Politics VI)
Label: ST. Records
Though it seems like meeting the deceased would be no difficult task for a man with a Time Machine (just hop in and set the dial back a few years, right?), newly-leaked LP cut I See Dead People finds Termanology communing with the departed in a more traditional manner: taking a stroll through the local cemetery, bottle of Hennessey in tow. Backed by The Alchemist‘s narcotically dreamy synth boardwork, the emcee indulges his morbid streak, spitting vivid, emotionless accounts of each graveyard resident’s demise. The message? Everybody, from poverty-stricken victims of circumstance to the wealthiest, most powerful elites, ends up in the same position: in a wooden box, six feet underground (or on top of someone’s mantel in a little urn, as the case may be). It’s a definite downer, but I’m guessing that’s what Term was going for—and, in any case, the skill with which he carries the track’s concept from start to finish is undeniably impressive. If Term’s dark lyrical ponderings have you hooked, grab a copy of Time Machine (Hood Politics VI), set to hit stores September 22nd.

We try to stray away from posting morose subject matter, but I'll be damned if we deny a Booth favorite from tackling a concept track with the greatest of ease. This pulled me in from the start - credit to Alchemist with the boardwork.

Term has been on my radar for a minute now, and I'm still waitin for him to get that break. I feel like he's a great lyricist, wit originality and some crossover appeal. This track has a great concept, even if it's quite depressing. Term does well wit opening up our minds and flowing easily over the eerie beat at the same time.

I loved the subject creativity myself. Its a morbid and depressing song, but that does not take away from its greatness in my opinion, great beat by Al, and Term is climbing the the ranks in my opinion. I would love to hear Nas hop on this.

Good to see Term is on it again with his next full length release. Dude got some really dope! producers to contribute. I always appreciate metaphor filled tracks and clever concepts and Termanology straight KILLED it!
I might be influenced by my love for horror films, good or bad, but any one with an affinity for good music and original concept should be happy with what Term cooks up ... BANGER!!! |

Term + Alch = banger
I like the beat and I'm glad he's rapping about something other than drugs, money and women but it is a rather depressing song. |

Cool song, interesting beat, but the downer tone does make this hard to rate high haha.
