Unfortunate as it may be, most hip-hop heads haven’t been properly acquainted with Zechariah Wise, J-Cosell, DJ Dialtone and Jady Experience; If Only They’d Listen to one of Team Demo‘s life-changing instrumentals, however, the scales would fall from their eyes and they’d instantly be transformed into lifelong fans – that’s the idea, anyway. On their first Booth feature, the Crime Wave crew flip a Chipmunked sample from Marvin Gaye’s Life Is for Living into a soulfully head-nodding backdrop for lyrical contributions by a D.C. heavyweight, a Booth-acclaimed, Virginia-based buzzmaker, and a fresh face; Wale and K-Beta, unsurprisingly, run circles ‘round the track’s swung groove on the front and back ends, and newcomer Jo’Lyce proves himself an up-and-comer to watch on his slightly stiffer, but nonetheless impressive middle verse. If this cut’s made a convert out of you, keep it locked; Team Demo’s forthcoming project currently has neither a title nor a release date, but we’ll be sure to bring you all the latest.

Further proof (if you needed any) that the DMV is loaded with talented artists. Big fan of Wale (though we don't talk much these days *tear* haha), but for my money K-Beta has the strongest showing of the three emcees.

The star of this show (as it should be), however, is the production team behind the boards.

Wale beasted it, although K-Beta might have Lion Kinged (see what I did there lol). Man can't wait for Wale's Sophomore album come to think of it.

I love how Team Demo worked in a soul sample without sounding like your usual "hip-hop song with a soul sample" cut, nicely done. Throw in impeccable verses from Wale and Beta and this is nothing but quality. Well done gentlemen.

There is nobody who can spit like Beta ... He plays w/ those words in a way that transcends modern lyricism . All three of them killed it though !

The beat was great, and Wale brought it. K-Beta was also went that extra step. I'm really unhappy that this track was overlooked. I guess most are afraid of seeing the future.
