Touted as the “Princess of the Roc,” singer Teairra Mari released her self-titled Roc-A-Fella debut album in ‘05. Despite being heavily marketed, which made her single Make Her Feel Good a moderate hit, the album saw very disappointing sales. Now, signed to Interscope, the 20-year old Detroit representative is ready to start brand new as she prepares her upcoming sophomore album. On the first single, Mari addresses a cheating boyfriend who she is fed up with; she will pay him No No No more attention. With a radio-friendly beat by Charles Hamilton, No No No has enough hit power to let people know she doesn’t need the Roc to succeed. In fact, Mari can start a whole ‘nother dynasty on her own.
Damn she sounds just like Beyonce! I think this beat is good and she can really sing on here. I just fear that it may be too much like Beyonce for people to really pick it up. We'll see how it goes; but for now this can go into rotation.
This beat here is crazy. Whoever the dude is at the beginning is pretty damn good, too. Sounds a lil bit like Fabolous, but this will be a hot summer jam
The beat is hot, almost sounds like something that could be on a movie soundtrack. I don't actually recall her voice to be actually this good, so I'm pleasantly surprised at the singing. It's catchy and has a beat that's popular (?trendy?) with the industry and audience. That being said, this track doesn't stand out a whole lot for me. I can see people putting this on rotation and possibly getting airtime...
we do all agree the beat is hot! thats good, i think whatever that guy is in the beginning brought it down a bit, take him out and this song is FIRE.
i dnt really think she sounds like Beyonce though.. where'd ya'll get that from?
Now this is how she should have hit us the 1st time. The 1st album made me wonder why she's the Roc princess and not Rihanna. This is her groove right here.
i luv teairra mari, i like this song. She had swagger on her first cd, one of the only cds i can listen to from the start to the end cuz she really do have a pretty voice. i hope she does good this time and I know this song will.
It's a shame it took 3 years for TM to leave her old label, find a new label, and start this whole career over again. Now, instead of just competing with Rihanna at her label, she has just as much competition at Interscope with Keyshia Cole doin' her thang. This will be on the radio, no doubt. Solid effort.
Not bad. I don't think it would blow up as a first single tho. The beat is thight tho. Maybe it just needs to grow on me. I see a lot of potential for Teairra Mari since she's got a good voice and she's smokin' hot, but this song isn't overly impressive.
Its cool!! Kinda laid back. She shows her swagger on this beat and it should be a solid radio track come summer. And of course the vocoder..... Just pay T-Pain and get the real thing.
she does not sound like beyonce at all. i think she probley sounds more like kelly if anything .. but its not her .. but i dont htink her voice is noticable to know thats its T .. but this is nice i like it ...
Naaaahhh.. sounds like every other R&B female singer. Need some originality in her voice. Would not be able to tell who she was!! ...main reason why most don't make it - they all sound the same!!!
She is so much hotter than Rihanna but she doesn't process the luck that Rihanna has had. I mean they both rely on people getting them the right material to sing and Rihanna just had more luck in the right songs. Teairra Mari's voice does not stand out though. Average song.
She don't sound like Bee to me. Bee's voice is more grown up, Teairra has a cutsy girly type voice but she can sing IMO. This song is alright tho. I like the beat and I like her style. She has swagger and she has potential if she get with the right people.
She actually sounds a bit more like Mya to me, especially at the intro of the song. Beyonce's voice is a bit more distinct...I couldn't pick up the "B-esque" tone in this song. The beat's pretty good. She's got some great vocals.
She does sound like B alittle. By the looks of things she fine like her too. This song is alright. I won't be listenin to it anymore. No no no no no no no! Did I mention the girl is fine? Yea She's a Bad One!!!
