Long-distance relationships have their pros and cons; while some people (like Brandy on Long Distance) find themselves frustrated at the lack of intimacy, others feel that distance just makes their time together seem all the more special.  Tay Dizm seems to fall into the latter category; since his Long Distance Lover just happens to be taking a flight over to Tallahassee, he’s prepared to spend lavishly to make sure his home feels like home for her as well.  Jacksonville’s Young Cash and producer Cozmo lend a hand as Dizm tries to make his woman’s stay in North Florida as enjoyable as possible – hopefully, she’ll come to visit more often!  Tay Dizm’s digital-exclusive debut, Welcome to the New World, currently has no set release date.

This has mass radio appeal! Having the self proclaimed king of radio on your side sure helps. Sidebar - Not only does Tay look like that dude from Pretty Ricky, he sounds a lot like him too LOL! I can see this one getting pretty big once that nice weather starts peeking out. Also Glad to see Nappy Boy reppin without T-Pain.

The production was pretty hot from the get go. This is not bad at all, though it isn't anything super special. I probably wouldn't play it again.

Tay Dizm... sux. This has potential to work with the tweens, but forgettable. Neither Dizm nor Cash stand out enough for people to remember them.

cb126405: give him a top hat, and he's T-Pain sounding like Pretty Ricky

Tay Dizm's "DREAM GIRL" song has received a great response inside our BOOTH... not sure why this wouldn't get love the same way. Granted, Akon is not on this hook, but its the same formula. In fact, the production is better here (I see you Cozmo!).

Fun, harmless, bubble-gum rap-pop.

I think that this, along with Dream Girl, definately has mainstream appeal. I feel the hook, and it is definately a mainstream beat (although I don't necessarily like it.) I don't like Tay Dizm's flow at all, but that's not really the point of this type of track. I can see this having appeal, so it gets rotation.

it's definitely not trash, but not a banger either...
The lyrics are subpar but the hook is straight.....

Chorus and production on this one are both hot. My only issue is Tay, who suffers from the same case Ryan Leslie does [as pointed out in the new DJBooth Review]; his name is unmemorable. He's not a bad rapper but with a name like Tay Dizm his album sales were dropping before a single was even released. Sure, this can be overlooked if he had some talent, but fact is that he is only a mediocre artist that relies on his powerhouse label to get him hooks from the best in the business(I mean, who wouldn't want T-Pain or Akon on their side?) as well as some great production. Regardless, it's in rotation.

straight fire but the every time Dizm rapped it sounded bad. the chorus was good and the beat was even better...definetly not a club banger... but something I may listen to again

Not as good as Dream Girl in my opinion. It's aight though. Like Z said this is just bubble-gum pop-rap. In rotation. Tight production on this though.

I prefer 'Dream Girl' over this, though this is still a very good joint. Tay Dizm is a very unique 'rapper' in that his flow & voice are very different to anything else you hear. 3.5

Granted, I'm a Nappy Boy for life so these guys are my homies, but I love Tay's unique flow on this type of song and Cash's featured vocals take it to another level. The amazing production is the cherry on top! Look out for these Nappy Boys when their individual CD's drop in 2010!!!
