Since T.I. started his prison sentence, quite a few records set for inclusion on his forthcoming Paper Trail re-release have hit the ‘net.  In keeping with our policy of only featuring artist/label/producer-approved cuts, lead single Remember Me (which currently sits at #7 on our Top Picks chart) has been the only track to grace our front page.  Recently, Nottz (producer of Barry Bonds, Girl You Know, Y.O.U.) sent over his contribution to Case Closed.  Continuing in the optimistic vein of Road to Redemption, Tip details his courageous mindstate and his commitment to positivity—he’d rather not get so much hate over it, but if that’s “The Way You Want It,” there’s nothing he can do about it.  Few (if any) of T.I.‘s haters are Booth regulars, so it’s a good bet our string of cosigns will continue all the way from the summer release of Case Closed till the rapper’s own release date—nine months and counting!

Nottz steals the show here. This production work could make ANYONE sound good- well, maybe anyone except for Kevin Federline. T.I. is going to kill the game when he comes out out that cell. Until then, lets enjoy.

The sample, production, and Tip's flow fit together nicely. This is that type of "meaningful" track that I like. Just like the entire record T.I. opens up to let us in and also provides some great advice.

What up DJ Booth? I know I haven't been commenting on any songs lately, but I've still been around! :)

Had to show some love on this song, I couldn't resist. Although I agree with DJ Z that many rappers may "sound" good on the track, I honestly don't think anyone could've made this track any better than what it is. I love how TI remained positive/uplifting even when facing his whole situation. I'm going to ruffle some feathers with this comment, I know, but TI is the BEST RAPPER ALIVE!

The production carries this track nicely and T.I. brings a good message. I like his laid back flow on here and the hook is passable. The great vibe on this song is undeniable and thats what I like about the song. Banger!

this production is hot, the sample is fitting, and t.i.'s flow works wonders over this production. T.I.'s lyricism is getting better and better

HaHa, mmoore1127, you probably willl ruffle some feathers with a comment like that. I personally disagree, but I'm gonna take a break and stay off my soapbox tonight. :)

As for this song, I'm not seeing annything spectacular here. It feels too slow for me, and it's not the production's fault. It's T.I.'s; his flow is way too slow for my tastes, at least for a track like this. And I would like to go out on a limb and say that my boy Ludacris would have killed this production, or at least flow a lot better than Tip manages on this song. However, this isn't outrageously bad by any means, so I'm going to give it its 3 stars and be on my way.

P.S. Can anyone else think of another rapper that would sound hot over this production? If so, speak up and say so!!! :)

T.I. sounded sweet over some great production, though im going to agree with bowwserr here as I think Ludacris could of murdered this track.

I've gotta go with Z here, the production was simply flawless. That alone gets 4 stars. This is the best of the unreleased TI that I've heard yet, but I honestly don't think it's because of Tip himself.

I love this look for T.I.
it really shows off why he's so big, cuz he can rhyme
I actually prefer him on a more laid back track like this because it just highlights his abilities

When rappers don't have to worry about the quality of their beats, that frees them up to drop lyrical gems that stun and please.

I'm wit bowwser on this one. Its a layed back son@, I'm not a fan of the sample on this, they should have cleaned that up. T.I. kills everythin@ so that is put aside completely for me. Just from a production standpoint this could have been better.

I'm aware I'm the only dissenting opinion, but I can't hear anything so special in this song. The production is ok but I've heard better and he's good as well but not more than usual...after a while this song bored me!

@PattyPatty85 - You aren't the only dissenting opinion on this one, though you may be the only two star rating. Like I said in my comment, I didn't hear anything spectacular in this song, either. But the fact that it wasn't horrible saved it from being a two in my book.
