Big Kuntry King - Let Em Talk

T.I. may be currently serving time, but he keeps finding ways to keep himself relevant. On the new track Let Em Talk, T.I. hooks up with fellow Grand Hustlers Big Kuntry and Brandon (one-half of Nard & B) for a track that’s as Southern as it gets, but (unfortunately) could leave fans hoping for a new Southern anthem likely disappointed. The production, done by Nard & B, is nothing revolutionary, staying the same pace throughout the track, and while T.I. sounds serious on his opening verse, leaving out his usual witty, snappy lines, ultimately his contribution is mediocre at best. In fact, the standout here is Big Kuntry, who aptly towers over both T.I., providing some fresh perspective to the record’s been there, done that “stop snitchin” theme. Let ‘Em Talk will be used on two upcoming mixtape projects, Big Kuntry King’s Cocaine 2 and Brandon Presents: Max Altitude, neither of which have set release dates.

ed: We have been informed that this track is Big Kuntry’s, not T.I.‘s, as we previously reported.

Since this is a mixtape track I won't hold it to the highest of standards, but anything that Tip's name is on is usually much better than the end result here.

The Nard & B production is their usual, but the vocal contributions are nothing special from anyone.

good production, but I agree with DJ Z. This could be waaaaay better, easily. Should be interesting which direction T.I. takes musically when he gets out. Can't wait.

Average track for T.I. I do agree with matt juss on Big Kuntry being the high point. Solid mixtape track though.

The beat bangs but the hook lacks effort, TIP's verse is cool but i come to expect passion in his voice and i didn't here it. Supporting class not bad, but im missing the fire from T.I, in rotation.

While lyrically competent/inoffensive, the content of their rhymes is pulled off from Street Rap 101, so does the beat. Handling cliched topic in the generic way = Okay at best.

My impression is that T.I.'s songs sound all the same lately. This one has a good music but he sounds boring! The beat is too slow...wouldn't listen to this again

for a mixtape track, its decent... though im not a fan of these pre recorded t.i. verses, they never seem to match the production
