Recently heard playing second fiddle to Ne-Yo on mixtape inclusion-turned-single The Way You Move, T-Pain turns in that guest-spot “I.O.U.” today, recruiting the Def Jam heavyweight for the latest leak off his junior album. Tailor-made for club rotation, standout cut and potential single selection Turn All the Lights On finds the Nappy Boy head honcho getting ready to cut loose after the day’s work is done. Over Dr. Luke and Cirkut‘s handclap percussion and synth-bass blurts, Pain exults, “I ain’t gotta work no more / F*ck that place, f*ck my boss / I’m about to ball; girl where the cars?” “Mr. Perfect” grabs the mic on the middle, dedicating his guest verse to a beautiful, though mildly uncoordinated, shawty he met when she scuffed his kicks on the dance floor: “Sexy as she wanna be and she / Dancing next so close to me / I said please excuse, / you steppin’ on expensive shoes.” How about it, Booth readers; does this sound like a smash-hit in the making? Lights and much more can can be found on T-Pain’s rEVOLVEr LP, arriving on record store shelves this Tuesday via RCA.

Nothing groundbreaking or new here, but definitely something that DJs worldwide will easily be able to mix into their club sets. Lots of great energy, reputable names.

This will definitely bump in the clubs. I don't think I'll be bumping this anywhere else though. This is super-duper Pop right here. I'll pass....unless its in the club of course.

I listened to the album, it's pretty legit. But honestly, this is one of the worse songs on the album, how is this a standout?

Again, I've realized I have a love hate relationship with Dr. Luke. It's all about the backing artist, and since prevolver it seems t-pain can do no wrong. If pain has a #1single on his album, this is it.

Even Ne-Yo can't earn this song more than 3 stars.

Not a musically lyrical effort, but I can dig this on radio and nightclubs; Dr. Luke never fails to bring the heat on Billboard pop smashes. Sounds great over a bass boost. Ne-Yo adds additional replay value.

I can honestly say that when I saw T-Pain and Ne-Yo, I was expecting something that carryed a good tune to it.
Well, I was dissapointed. On the other hand, the clubs'll eat this shit up, and by the time the radio is done playing it out 1000000000000...times... |
