T-Pain reminds me of my college roommate. Much like Pain, he would yell random phrases, had a ridiculously loud personality and wore strange hats. Perhaps not so coincidentally, he was a T-Pain fan. On the Tallahassee-born artist’s new track My Money Long, featuring Pain’s newly signed group One Chance on the hook, he pulls all his usual stunts over what essentially amounts to four minutes of T-Pain rapping and rambling about money, girls, his multi-million dollar house, his clothes, cars and, of course, his beloved auto-tune. T-Pain’s rap persona does drop some clever lines over producer Tommy Hitz’ loud and ridiculous beat like “I’ll reach my peak like Dante,” and “My flow game is sick, like Greg Louganis,” but if My Money Long was intended to be an introduction to Nappy Boy‘s newest family members than the man pretty much just goes along for the ride. Expect more from One Chance on T-Pain Presents The Nappy Boy All Stars (Vol. 1), which currently has no release date.

DJBooth has supported One Chance for so long that anything that has their name on it (and is sent in our direction) is bound to get featured (except maybe if it featured OJ Da Juiceman). While I am not a HUGE fan of rapping Teddy, its a pleasure to hear this talented singing group alive and living well in a new label situation. Hopefully this mixtape release isn't all we get to hear from them soon...

This beat was tight, Pains flow was decent compared to his past attempts at spitting. One Chance has always caught my ears attention, and this is no different. Glad to see them signed to Nappy Boy. Hopefully they aren't used just for hooks on other people's songs.

Pain keeps getting on my nerves(musically and just as a person) but his personality saves the song it being horrible. The beat is annoying and One Chance was pretty good but it's really T-Pain, along with that flow of his, that makes it still listenable all the way through.

wtf???? r u serious?

first "Take Your Shirt Off?"
and now this?

T-pain is officially ruining his career. I gave "Take Your Shirt Off" the benefit of the doubt cuz T-Pain is a personal fav and is just one song, so i didnt rate it. But after hearin this, i cant hold back anymore.

No, T-Pain isn't the best rapper, but he's alright. Good flow, kinda smart lyrics, over all fun. Are we still talking money ish? yup

Beat is hot, unfortunately One Chance didn't have much of a presence on the track, ie. didn't stand out. I personally think T-Pain shouldn't have given up the autotune, he was the innovator not the imitator. He actually sounds quite bad as a rapper, there's little to enjoy when he's spitting. This is weak compared to the hits that autotune-t-pain made!

Dumb song... I'm really pulling for T-Pain on his new album that he can create a hit single because he's definitely taking it hard after D.O.A.

good... but i don't know if I'll jump to quickly call him an "MC" -- autotune is Nappy's nitch... let's leave it at that.

I'll give Pain this, he's one clever dude, though I'm not sure if I feel right laughing about a greg louganis punchline (for you young folks he was an Olympic swimmer who contracted HIV). Anyway, I'd listen twice just to catch the jokes, but other than that, it's just a track with Pain rambling and One Chance contributing only in the loosest sense possible.

Never had a doubt... he got his spit game proper! Just don't like the way he's utilizing it. I believe when he puts some more effort in his lyrical content, he is far better than what's given here.

I hope he realizes sooner than later, that even being swagger jacked by every other Rapper and their mommas, still, they don't SOUND or can do like he does. I hope he figures it out so he continues to be successful and making hits! not many can do that.

But if he let’s that D.O.A. sh!t eat him up, I expect more of these kinda aggressive sounding joints. As for this track, other than hook its worth rotating. 2.5

I'm not usually a fan of T-Pain when he raps, but this is decent right here. I would much rather hear him with Autotune as much as possible. T-Pain rapping on an entire track is just OK to me...

i cant believe u guys r actually givin props for T-Pain's rapping skills. they arent even skills. his rapping reminds me of Soulja Boy's first album. just pathetic in every sense.

do u guys remember "Buy U a Drank?"
and now ur givin this 3 stars?
seriously? cmon.

i feel kinda bad im goin so hard on him, but i think its cuz i realize how much better of a singer than rapper he is. his auto tune filled music is better than 98% of the rest of the male r&b singers music, whether they use auto tune or not.
