T-Pain - Freeze ft. Chris Brown
Artist: T-Pain
Featuring: Chris Brown
Producer: T-Pain
Album: Thr33 Ringz
Label: Konvict/Nappy Boy/RCA
If you missed the start of T-Pain‘s Thr33 Ringz circus, allow us to recap: for the first act, neither Pain nor guest performer Lil’ Wayne could believe how often a certain female was on them. For Act Two, Pain brought Ludacris out to help give new meaning to familiar Southern slang. Now, time for the third act, the industry sensation picks up one of his more frequent collaborators to make a feel-good dancefloor hit. Having previously worked together on Kiss Kiss and Shawty Get Loose (w/ Lil’ Mama), Chris Brown knows how to attract the youngsters; on Freeze, he does so once again by encouraging listeners to bring their best moves out on the floor. If the first three singles are any indication, Thr33 Ringz should be an enjoyable listen. The album, Pain’s third, will hit stores and online retailers on November 11.

Damn, all this leaking is really going to hurt T-Pain in my opinion. I know that leaks are common nowadays, but his first 3 singles have already been released and his album doesn't come out for over a month! Anyway, this song is cool. It's got that silly all over fun dance beat, and they both do their things. I'm gettin a little bit of "Rock Your Body" by Justin Timberlake with the beatboxing after the chorus, but the song is hot nonetheless. I checked out the making of this video on YouTube and it looks like a fun joint. Lookin forward to hearin this in the clubs real soon.

leaks? i didn't think the booth posted leaks? these are just singles, as released by konvict, I thought. maybe i'm wrong, but didn't t.i. release whatever you like, his 4th official buzz track from paper trail, by the end july or august (i don't remember which). anyways, as for the track, solid effort from t-pain and chris brown, as expected. won't play it much, though, cuz i know i can hear it anywhere, anytime, cuz this track will burn up mainstream. 3.5*

This has crazy hit potential!! I've been listening to this hella lot since I downloaded it. T-Pain/Chris Brown..you already know its gonna be hot from previous songs. Sometimes T-Pain gotta just freestyle and sing and get off his regular role(hook only). Autotone is hot on this one and without it it wouldnt be the same. Chris Brown did his thang and beat is hot!! Classic!!

i agree "cb" its the same thing with T.I. People would be considering his album as a classic if it werent for his several already released hits.

The production on this is awesome! I frankly have liked "Chopped and Screwed" the most out of the three, but this comes in second. T-Pain can go no wrong and this album will be a classic, contrary to what anybody wants to say, especially with some more epic-status eclectic video accompaniments. I wonder if he'll do any joints with a different subject matter than chicks though. I hope so. That will really get him some versatility points. Chris Brown really did his thing. It's almost like he took over this track on the last half of it.

Chopped and Screwed is a better track, but this is still heat. T-Pain is one of the best producers in music. Greatness with or with out the auto tune. Chris Brown is my dude. This is a banger!!!

I didn't mean leak in the way that it's commonly used. I guess I should have phrased it "very very early release."

Guaranteed hit. This impacts at Rhythmic radio NEXT WEEK, as "Chopped N Skrewed" does its thang at Urban radio now. Pain has the best solo work of his career on his hands here.

Well this song didn't catch me so much. The production is on point for sure, catchy and good for clubs, but I'm not really feeling T-Pain, as always. Chris Brown sounds good as he has singing skills, but as someone else wrote, too much voicebox in here! To my ears it sounds terrible, really. And I don't go mad for the melody, too...after a while I get bored! Will go in the clubs and will be radio played, but it's not for me

LIKE T-PAIN behind the boards but he has definitly proven to me that this cd is going to be insane i've been a Fan of pain since his first radio single "I'M IN LOVE WITH A STRIPPER" Now one thing that annoys me about Artist and T-pain is the fact that all Recently EveryBody wants to use avocoder on their tracks-(Bird Man,Kanye West,Jay-z,Chris brown,Snoop dogg and Lil Wayne) just to name a few who have been taking the vocder for their tracks- now dont get me wrong it has a uniqe sound and what annoys me is the fact that T-pain has that sound as his trade mark sound prety much and now everyone is using it for them selves-Also I'm sure their is a bunch of Vocoder records that could be made and I think if you are going to use it you should give ashout out to T-Pain BecauseHe rediscovered the vocoder sound It was 10 years between the time the vocoder was used and the last time it was used and T-pain hit the scene.-So thats why i think people should give him a shout out or say hey im doing a track with the vocoder let's collab and gettin poppin-And if they dont do that I think T-Pain should make his own version and smash Em" on their own track-Now about the song I like the Production and the lyrics Catchy chris brown makes a nice little guest apperance on the track and T-Pain does his thing------------------- ---------------------------- ---------------------------- ---------------------------- GET @ the page @ MYSPACE.COM/djxlr8themc

The “freeeeeeeze” is annoying! So is the auto-tune. The whole song sounds like a joke/play, you know, you go around the chairs and then y’all have to sit before there’s no chairs left… I like the tempo but the melody and vocals don’t add anything to the beat.
