We all know that there are times when you might find yourself at a loss for words. This temporarily happened to me after listening to T-Pain’s Freaknik is Back.  Is it really possible to be met with feelings of disappointment, confusion, and hilarity all at once? The answer, thanks to the musical genius (most days) that is Tallahassee Pain, is a resounding yes.  A day after the well-received Save You hit our front page, we present the lead track off the soundtrack to Pain’s much-talked-about Freaknik: The Musical. Spending close to two and a half minutes talking about bitches, doo-rags, and “new ‘Lacs” over a surprisingly busy beat from Tha Bizness, the Florida native manages to make a record that I can only describe as “entertainingly dismal.” Do you agree, or do you hear any redeeming qualities that I may be missing? The soundtrack, out tomorrow, is sure to be nothing short of interesting if songs like these are the norm. Personally, though, I’m hoping that Freaknik Is Back doesn’t set the tone for the highly-anticipated ReVolver.

Way better then his track featured yesterday...but still not what I like at all from him. The beat is interesting in that it goes from midtempo to really loud and uptempo. The subject matter on this is terrible but at least Pain gets back to his high energy...and I even like the fact that hes rapping and not singing for once similiar to Kareoke. I hope the next track I hear from him will be even better than this one because this is only just a subpar effort.

I was immediately reminded of Ludacris' "Get Back," but much more uninteresting and bland. Blah.

@RLTskillz, I definitely agree that this is a weak and cliche lyrical effort, though the delivery is exciting. You called it.

The energy is there, but the words need a quality boost, and the beat needs to be less uninteresting.

Two Stars, since my ears didn't bleed, but still, Skip It.

Also, don't tell T-Pain, but he forgot to turn on the auto-tune. SHHH!! It's a secret.

@MCBrad - So its just simply 5-stars because its T-Pain? I don't know about that...

I liked "Save You" (last night's feature) better, but this isn't bad. I think its an appropriate fit for a soundtrack to a off-the-wall cartoon. Anything else and I would have laughed (in the bad way).

the thing about this track is that a 'serious' pain track. i mean, it is, cuz he's rapped about this stuff before, but this is from an off the wall cartoon he made up. so it fits perfectly. plus it bumps in the ride haha

I like the production on this, dope work from Tha Bizness. I wasnt a fan of T-Pain on this though, I still think he's better on snap beats.

Overall, its a alright track, though yesterday's feature from T-Pain was better

FREAKNIZZZLLLLEEEE! This track was pretty cool. Haven't seen the musical yet, but based on what I have heard from the booth, I should probably make it a top priority.

The production on this is pretty silly, aggressive, and whatever else you could think of. Not sure what else to say. This was an alright track.

There's a difference between banging and noisy. The chorus is the later!

If he didn't already do that, I'd suggest this "rapper" to turn into a "singer". Please give him back the autotune!

Now it's relieving to hear T-Pain minus the super autotunes however this song makes me wish for it back. Definitely has down south written all over it and just a bit too much for my New York taste. Not worthy of a second listen it's going in my trash box.

This isn't really a great song, but remember people this was made for Freaknik. I liked "Save You" more than this, but this isn't bad as long as you don't take it seriously.

I feel like this could bang in the right party. Tha Bizness made something special. Another artist would have been preferable though. I missed "Tha BIzness..." drop at the beginning.

This song shouldn't be judged as a hit for your mp3, it's a tv tune and for a tune it has a pretty cool vibe.

Enjoyable to an extent but yeah not much replay value to it. Would've been better without them sudden bursts of loudness.

With all these past songs/guest features (bad, forgettable or even good stuff), I wish I should've never gotten involved that heavy with his music in the first place. That's all!

Wow...I guess you can just be the stereotype and not an artist..if this makes it to anywhere but the .99 cent reel on itunes, shame...but I can't lie, the beat is hot, everything else is just a hot mess.

With this, and his previous singles I don't think T-Pain can reclaim his R&B throne from Usher and Trey Songz, the production was minimalistic, and pain please leave rapping, both members of T-Wayne suffer from the same disease(one is a great rapper who wants to sing, but is not good at it, the other is just the opposite)

T-Pain has Autotune immunity....Not just because he was one of the leaders of the renaissance, but because with or without it, the man can sing his ass off! Go listen to his earl;y work if you don't believe me...

Whenever T-Pain decides to get his rap on and drops the Auto-Tune it just never works out. His flow isn't good at all and the dude just doesn't belong in the rap category. He makes hits with Auto-Tune. This song works with the TV show, but not as a song itself. Stick with what you do best.

Okay, I can't be the only one asking this question, but how did Pain get the rights to basically jack Turf Talk's ORIGINAL version of this track, "That's That Turf Talk" from his album The West Coast Vaccine??? WTF? Called me biased 'cause I'm from the Bay, but Turf and The Federation ripped the original version. Pain failed me on this, not only does he fake his vocals (in other tracks of course), but once again a mainstream artist steals the Bay's work, AND puts in on his album. Wow.

O Teddy, you are one of the best club singers in this generation, what the hell were you thinking on this one?

I feel like he just sat down and said, okay I'm going to make a song in which I say @*#$! as much as possible and the rest of the song will make absolutely no sense. I really feel like he just threw together a bunch of words behind a decent beat and said, that'll do.

At the same rate this is something I would only expect from Mr. Pain. "Save You" was definitely better than this offering, but that one was nothing spectacular either.

Maybe T-Pain has become just a go-to guy on hooks and can't make records anymore? I mean he killed the chorus on "All I Do Is Win" but I haven't heard anything solid from just him in a while. I didn't like Three Ringz but I am really pulling for Revolver to come through. Just have to wait and see.

This is a song you put on to jam out too while vacuuming your house or something of that nature. Since then you'll be able to substitute what's being said for something better in your head and still be able to get the "excitement" from the beat.

Y'all taking this way too serious, this whole albums not meant to be taken seriously...more than it being from a cartoon, it was MADE for a cartoon, if it was meant to be serious, then give it a low grade, but its just for...entertainment, i'll still ride to it, 5/5 and keep hope alive
