T-Pain - Booty Wurk (One Cheek at a Time)

I don’t mean to reveal too much about what goes on behind-the-scenes here at the Booth, but I’ve pretty much got my pick of songs to write about each day, and I tend to pick songs that seem the most entertaining. So, after I read the title of T-Pain’s new single, Booty Wurk (One Cheek at a Time), and spent the next five minutes laughing, there was no doubt what song I’d be picking up. As you should have already guessed, Booty Wurk is built around a booming and heavily clapping beat from Young Frye – imagine a marching band invading a strip club. On the mic T-Pain keeps it super-simple and lightly auto-tuned, not really even delving into some of his trademark melodies and, aside from a great Kevin Hart reference, doesn’t really work the mic either, even with Joey Galaxy (formerly known as Young Cash) lending some vocal assistance. I don’t know if it will be a hit, but I can guarantee it will be the song that launches 1,000 booty shaking videos on YouTube. Either way, I think we can expect more posterior friendly material on Pain’s long delayed album RevolveR, which is still awaiting a release date.

If you like T-Pain, then you'll probably enjoy this track, as he doesn't deviate from his typical style. I like the horns and can stomach the verses, but "Booty Wurk" doesn't really do it for me.

Everything was passing until I got to the hook. This is going to bang in the clubs regardless because Pain caters to his core audience. The beat is nasty.

@ltg2121 - "Booty Wurk" does it for everyone...are you feeling well today...LOL.
As much as I agree this is nothing new for T-Pain and its not even as good as his older work, it still bangs. PLUS, when the ladies get it you will probably forget that its even playing. |

LOL, T-Pain. Young Fyre's beats are absolute FIRE; the bass is sick with an amplified drop! He should get more calls from the industry sometime soon. He and Mick Schultz (of Jeremih fame) are seriously underrated.
Joey Galaxy? Seriously? Strange name. At least it's better than his old generic name. |

Very interesting song to say the least. I dont know what to think or how to feel about this. I guess since its intended for clubs it would probably sound pretty sick in one so I am going to show support. |
