T-Pain - Best Love Song

Valentine’s Day may be over, but T-Pain‘s still spreading love the best way he can: through the same whimsical AutoTune stylings that have become his signature. Thankfully, the Nappy Boy CEO took a break from buying ostentatious jewelry and getting Facebook tattoos to link up with Chris Brown for his new single Best Love Song. Producer Young Fyre gives the song a modern power ballad feel with strong guitar riffs underscored by tender piano melodies, quick strings and a healthy dose of hi-hat/hand clap action. We know how T-Pain likes to do things big, so this sound suits him well; just imagine lots of pyrotechnics accompanying this song and I think even Brett Michaels would be proud. Vocally, Chris Brown delivers energetic vocals while T-Pain waxes poetic about showing that special someone the love they deserve. Quite a step forward from professing love to a stripper, but who’s keeping score? No word yet on the release date of RevolveR but this single is sure to capture people’s attention and hopefully build some anticipation in the meantime.

A lot of potential in the verse but overall this is an utter mess. T-Pain needs someone to edit his work - he's been atrocious lately.

Crazy as this sounds. T-pain sounds like he is out of tune at times. Is he not using the auto-tune correctly? Regardless, this song is bangin with Chris Brown. Props to that.

I'm loving the sound of this, and Chris Brown has been killing features lately. Props to Young Fyre on switching the sound toward the end of the song. HOT. I hope T-Pain can make some money of this, he deserves it.

T-Pain and Brown together always equal hits. This is another example of chemistry and charisma at work between two artists. Say what you want about auto tune, but T-Pain does it thing very good.

A real mix of ratings on this one, wow. Certainly a love it or a hate it record. Rewind 2 or so years and I would have tended towards the love it side. While both these artists lurk below their previous success, this should still stand a good chance to get some radio play and chart climbing.

What is up with the titles of T-Pain's songs lately? "Rap Song" and now "Best Love Song?" Show A little bit of creativity. Anyway, the song is solid, better than most of his material the last year or two.
