Sunny Valentine - Shine On Em
Artist: Sunny Valentine
Producer: Drama Boi
Album: By Any Means Necessary
Label: Battery/Jive Records
Hailing from Tyler, Texas, Sunny Valentine is the newest artist to sign with Jive Records. This versatile MC (think Yung Joc meets Chamillionaire), who fled his hometown for the Hip-Hop mecca that is the ATL, was introduced into the game by Young Jeezy’s manager, Kevin Lee. Now, looking to capitalize on his major label signing, Valentine is set to release By Any Means Necessary, a follow-up to his independently successful debut. The first single off his currently untitled project is the Drama Boi-produced, Shine On ‘Em. While the song’s content is atypical of a joint with such a title, don’t freeze up when Valentine throws lyrical gabs towards Yung Joc; the two MCs are friendly and worked together on Valentine’s previous release. Tune in later this year to find out if the ice Valentine rocks is indeed Sunny.

This is pretty weak right here. I don't know why Jive Records even signs Rap artists, as they never know what to do with them. I won't be surprised if they end up dropping this guy before anything ever comes of him. The Chorus is elementary, and the lyrics are weak. The only small highlight in this track is a beat that has been beaten to death with only minor differences.

Mean shot at joc! and he has the GAYEST name in the industry. the hook and beat kills though. it bangs too much to get neglected even though his flow is sad.

Stop. The minute he started with "This Is Why I'm Hot", I knew this wasn't going to be any good.

DJ Z...do you really think that was a friendly diss on Yung Joc? I've never called any of my friends "Yung Cock," and remember even Jeezy and Gucci Mane were on a track together at one point!
