Do mic skills run in the family? The first Booth feature from Sunni Ali Ber, younger brother of Song of the Starz emcee Cobe Obeah, is certainly evidence to the affirmative. Mixtape leak Goodnight finds the Californian emcee tucking his soon-to-be fans in for an unusually dope bedtime story, all about a young man with ambitions of hip-hop superstardom who, after years of ceaseless grinding, achieves success beyond his wildest dreams (completely obvious spoiler: it’s Sunni Ali Ber). Backed by the Argonauts’ intricately spacey synth-string-piano arrangement, the rapper gazes into the crystal ball, forecasting his bright future in a vivid blend of narrative, introspection and poetic imagery. Somnolent lyrical theme aside, Goodnight is solid proof that Sunni is one up-and-coming emcee who shouldn’t be – wait for it – slept on. The artist’s Midnight Musical street album is set to hit the ‘net “soon.” Those who like what they’re hearing can keep it locked for further details and, of course, all the latest tunes.

Nathan S. DJ Booth Crew Total Ratings: 2476	Rating: Nathan S.'s Top Rated Songs I had no idea what to expect when I pressed play on this one, and it totally lived up to my expectations. Did that make any sense? What I mean is it's enjoyably unpredictable, I'm digging the creative energy. Sunni's flow could use some polishing, but the man's definitely got promise.
