Sum-in-1 - Underground Anthem
Artist: Sum-in-1
Producer: Kev Da Khemist
Album: And Then Sum
Label: Acropolis/Golden State City
Those who tuned in for Sum-in-1‘s first feature, Born Hip-Hop, already know that the L.A. hopeful is one-hundred percent devoted to his art form, and hungry. If any doubt remained, though, new single Underground Anthem (a Booth-exclusive world premiere!) should dispel them. Over Kev Da Khemist‘s Lenny Pettinelli-sampled production (complete with scratches by DJ Leviathan), the headliner and guest emcee Destruct drop verses demonstrating their burning passion for hip-hop. Digging it? then keep it locked for release details on Sum-in-1’s And Then Sum digital LP, coming soon to iTunes.

Decent production on this joint by Kev Da Khemist. Not really feeling the chorus too much nor the lyrics and flow. Just sounds like something that has been done 20-million times before. Nothing different really stands out so its just OK for me. Can't throw it in rotation since I wouldn't exactly play it again...
