Several weeks ago, we introduced Atlanta native Sugar Tongue Slim and the Funky A** B*tch who lied about getting pregnant with his fictional baby. Straight off his forthcoming mixtape, Immaculate Conception (Hosted by Tapemasters Inc & The Empire), STS is back in the booth with his new single, Rider’s Anthem. Channeling a late 90’s DMX, STS and Re-Up Gang member Ab-Liva express their loyalty to friends and family, reminding us all that they’ll “lie for, die for and cry for their n*ggas.” Over a jazzy synthesizer/saxophone mixture from producer Hasan Insane, both MCs lay down slick lyrical performances; perfect for the whip, porch or even the computer speakers.
It's right, Dj Z! I agree with you!
Well, I like the beat in this song, and the background music too...it's so cheerful and catchy! By the way there's something off key, maybe after a while that lovely background music gets on my nerves, or maybe I don't like his flow...I don't understand! I have surely heard much worse, I think this is quite original...but now that it's over I'm certain when I say the background music is annoying, it's too "intrusive"! Ps: it may grow on me, though
I like the hook. The beat is uplifting and exciting and I would play it in my car solely for that reason. Lyrics are aight. Wish they were of some sort of substance.
