Substantial - Grateful
Artist: Substantial
Featuring: Kokayi
Producer: M-Phazes
Album: Home Is Where The Art Is LP
Label: Mello Music Group
Thanksgiving may be a month and change away, but it’s never a bad time to count your blessings. Maryland rhymesayer Substantial does just that on this freshly-released album bonus cut, expressing his Gratitude for all the wonderful things in his life—including life itself—over the tuneful sample work of Aussie Booth fave M-Phazes. Guest emcee Ken Starr opens the record with some defiantly real reflections on mortality, and Grammy-winning singer Kokayi lends his heartfelt vocals to the record’s chorus. If this jam’s whet your appetite for more quality beats and insightful rhymes, you can find what you seek on Sub’s Home Is Where the Heart Is LP, available now for purchase via Bandcamp.

This was a very good listen and I'll definitely be running it back a few times... Nice catchy chorus, sharp beat and good delivery on the mic.

Love the emotive production and Substantial's verse is just the right depth for the contemplative beat.

I've Heard KennStar (First Verse) Flow Better But His Content Was Rich. I'm Unfamiliar With Substantials Music But He Had A Dope Verse. The Song Isn't Really PlayBack Material To Me Though, Although The Chorus Is Chatchy And Shit.
