You may know Substantial as one-half of The R&R creators Bop Alloy, you may know him as the solo emcee who dropped Would You Be Mine, or you may not know him at all. In that case, I suggest you simply Check The Resume. With the always stellar Oddisee delivering a soul-fueled instrumental I’d listen to just for the beat, Sub transforms Resume into a well-rounded track with rhymes that demand a rewing to be truly understood. If this is a taste of Substantial upcoming album, Home Is Where The Art Is, I can’t wait to eat the full meal on September 4.
