From the age of three, R&B/pop singer Suai (pronounced “sway”) has patiently waited for the right opportunity to showcase her skills as a singer. After the Motown (as in Detroit) native signed a record deal with Motown (as in Universal) and earned a record placement (Am I All Alone) on the official Barack Obama compilation album, it appears she won’t be waiting much longer. Suai’s first official single, Oh Snap, features the all-too familiar story of a woman who falls in love with a man; her mind says “no,” but her heart says “go for it.” Off her yet-untitled debut album, currently set to be released in the spring of 09’, Oh Snap contains smooth vocals, skilled songwriting, and easygoing production by Jordan Omley.

The production by Jordan Omley caught my ear right way. I've never of Suai, but this joint was pure fire. The production really set it off though, and it almost outdid her vocal ability. I felt she may have held back on this, but I'm not sure because I haven't heard anything else from her before to correctly make that assumption of her vocal ability. This is definitely something I'll throw in rotation and look out for more tracks for her. Oh, and not to mention, more Jordan Omley productions as well.

I feel you BDF, but I rate songs on their own genre despite my preferences. And this is very well produced pop music smoothly interpreted! But I thought her name was Tiffany Evans… jk, they both sing well!

I love the piano... Suai and the piano go GREAT together. I am very excited about this young lady's career. This had me wanting more right away.
Added props to Jordan Omley for a great production.

I'm really liking this song. Her voice sounds so nice, without her trying to be overly powerful, if that makes sense, which I sometimes feel both Tiffany and Karina do. I thought the "Oh Snap" was going to sound stupid and in a way it kind of does, but it works. It's got that youthful sound to it. Hopefully, I'll hear more from her soon.
