There is no middle ground when it comes to Wyclef Jean; people either love him or hate him, end of story. Whether you think he should be selling millions of records or selling car insurance, you have to agree that he has an ear for catchy melodies (even if he doesn’t have a voice for them). Having rebuilt his career through a handful of winning collabos, the Haitian artist connects here with Styles P. With my apologies to Lupe, Weezy, and Jada, David Styles might just be the best radio-ready lyricist in the game right now. The track, called Understand Me, is a playful tune with an eerily catchy hook that you’ll find yourself humming long after it ends. Produced by Supa Mario, it is featured on the recently released mixtape, Supa Mario Presents: So You Want To Be A Supa Hero.
Man, Supa Mario's production is real different and interesting. I can really dig it! Styles P has so much swag in his delivery. I feel the same way about him that I mentioned last week about Cassidy. I've been a sub-conscious fan of his for a few years here now. This is really decent track for a mixtape. Wyclef came off! I'm glad to hear him rapping again. I will cosign on this collab.
Nice collaboration. I don't think Styles is ever going to get the respect he deserves on a nation level and I also don't think he will EVER get true mainstream radio play; unless he jumps on another's artist' song as a guest feature. It's sad, but it is what it is. Yo, Styles! Where's that new LOX joint?
Wyclef is a musical genius. Always representing for all the "sak passes". The only shortcoming of this track is the chipmunk voice. Extra star for my Haitians.
That beat makes me wanna boogie boogie down. The little annoying voice is ugh. but other than that, sick song. SP got a hard-nosed delivery always loved him.
