As Styles P.‘s current single, Blow My Mind, takes radio by storm, the D-Block member leaks another track from his upcoming album, Super Gangster, Extraordinary Gentleman. The non-single, Holiday, is strictly for the streets as the Phantom spits ultra-powerful lyrical ammunition that includes a few choice words for his former label (Interscope). Although the voice of Dipset’s hookman extraordinaire Max B can get annoying, the production (which sounds a bit like the music from Mortal Kombat’s fighter selection screen) more than makes up for it. Super Gangster, Extraordinary Gentleman hits stores December 4th.
Styles P once again goes at it hard but the rest of the elements make this record weak. I'm not feeling the guitar melody and strong drum mixing together. The hook is odd, I can't even understand what Max B is saying.
Max B never gets annoying to me in the least. He is one of the most talented artists in the streets right now (refer to Max B/Big Mike Million dollar baby Big Mike Mixtape...a definite download..SIIIIIICK). Having stated all of that about Max B, this is probably one of his worst outings I have heard from him. I think the production has to do with this track not being as successful as it could have been. Styles P is just so gutter that he can barely come out with an album clean enough for the public. He is strong on this track, but the production is lacking in my opinion.
the guitar opening is fire...styles p is one of my favorite rappers out...hopefully this is not one of the better tracks off of his new cd because its gonna take a lot to live up to his gangsta and a gentleman cd
