STS - Parachute
Artist: STS
Producer: Pierre Medor
Album: Demand More 2 Mixtape
Label: G.O.L.D. Music
Back in the Booth after nearly a year’s absence, Sugar Tongue Slim has slimmed down in the stage-name department since we last saw him; the Philadelphia/Atlanta dual representative now goes by the sleeker STS. As Shakespeare would say, a dope rapper by any other name still sounds just as fresh, and those who enjoyed the artist’s previous features will likely be equally impressed with new mixtape leak Parachute, which finds STS expressing his love and devotion to a female his family disapproves of (a very Shakespearean theme, coincidentally). Philly emcee Cassidy takes over on the track’s middle portion, waxing poetic about weed and Patron over Pierre Medor‘s sweeping, synth-drenched instrumental. R.L. Huggard, frontman of Minne-ap R&B group Next, rounds out the record’s guest lineup, contributing impassioned vocals on the hook and bridge. STS’ Demand More 2 mixtape is set to hit the ‘net sometime in March – in the meantime, keep it locked to the Booth for all the latest leaks!

This was a really solid track. Produciton was real nice, all of the emcees flowed real well on it, and the hook was flawless.

The engineer should have worked better on his verse vocals they were kind of low and kind of annoying...but the lyrics are nice and the beat is cool...this could have been a big track but bad engineering...so

Not so bad, the hook was weak and really brought down the song but STS and Cassidy was dope enough to save the record.

This is one of those records that you dig, but you don't need to play on repeat, or transfer to the ipod, or necessarily tell all your friends about. It's good, but not great. It's enjoyable, but not everlasting.
Looking forward to the new STS mixtape, as I have high expectations after the first volume. |

I have a rule that I give props to any emcee that uses the word "unfurl" in a track, and uses it well. Big props to STS.
Honestly the chorus was kind of corny to me, but the verses were tight. Average it out to a three. |

This track is flawless. It is relaxing but upbeat at the same time. All the different callabo on the sounds sounds great too, and im always a fan of the drumset.

The whole joint and its elements flows well together, but lacks anything truly memorable.

It's an okay song. Like everyone said the chorus hurt the song and I also agree with DjKidd the either the engineer or mixer did a bad job.
