In over 30 years of being an avid Hip-Hop listener, I will admit that I have never heard a song that had me stuck when it came to deciphering the mood, tone, and overall goal of a record that the artist had in mind when he/she recorded it. I’d like to think that I’m one of the best to ever do it. Not anymore. EDM sensation Steve Aoki has finally stumped this self-proclaimed proverbial master of Hip Hop culture with his latest song release, Beat Down, co-produced by Jakarta boardsmith Angger Dimas and featuring XXL Freshman cover girl Iggy Azalea on vocals. If you’re a fan of EDM and a lover of 808s and snares, then you’ll probably wear out the repeat button after listening to this single. Iggy does surprisingly well with the complex track as she professes that she’s well versed in the art of the beat down with lyrics like, “It’s a party on your face and I’m about to dance on it”. Do you really need any more explanation? I didn’t think so…

I don't get whats all the fuss about Iggy Azalea. Nothing special to me. Not really feeling the beat at all, as I feel like i could have a seizure any second.

I'm kind of feeling Izzy even though doesn't really seem crazy talented. The beat got me.. after awhile it got a little annoying. This really isn't something i would sit down and listen to but it could definitely get a party started
