Last Wednesday, DJBooth was sent a record by singer Lloyd, entitled I Need Love, which features production from Tricky Stewart and writing/feature work from The-Dream. Hours after receiving the song, however, a second record with identical production and lyrics, entitled All I Need, popped up courtesy of Sterling Simms. According to an inside source, Lloyd cut the record first but was unable to place it on his forthcoming Lessons In Love, because Universal Motown wouldn’t pay for it. Swooping in the next day, the Philadelphia-native laid down vocals and was instantly offered the record as his next single. In addition to Jada’s guest spot, a remix has been recorded with Cassidy. Simms debut, Worth Your While, will hopefully be worth the wait when it tentatively drops later this year.
This is cool, but I can see were this was made for the kid lloyd, but simms did a good job on it! The booth has some good stuff tonight! This is a banger.
"when im alone in my room, sometimes i stare at the wall" lol, i get annoyed wit the dream's ooh's ahh's ehh' ella's and other frivolous noises, this was iight tho
The song is really smooth and sexy, I love the beat and how he sings...anyway form the beginning I thought I would have liked it more! After a while it gets a bit boring...maybe it only has to grow on me, some songs aren't so immediate to me!
Lovin Dream on here, and Sterling has some crazy good vocals. I def. think that this version is better than Lloyds would have been. Jada brings the track down for me, but very good track and craaaazy chorus!
You know what I like about their production...Is, they go out their way to make sure no one sounds like an imitation.
Cause is the game now...alot of artist think they should do what's already poppin to get on, but the trick is to be original...
