A beneficiary of the recent Bay Area talent explosion, rapper/producer Sterlen Roberts is done only assisting others (Keyshia Cole, Flo Rida and Flava Flav to name a few). Putting to the side his writing and cover layout design skills, Sterlen has grabbed the mic (and a few friends) for a remix of his underground hit, An Lean. Fellow Californians Mistah F.A.B. (who, we hear is the life of the party) and San Quinn add verses to this southern-tinged West Coast banger, which is co-produced by Sterlen and MTL Records’ Pete Brown. While this song won’t have anybody ghostridin’ their whips, An Lean is a club hit that showcases Roberts as a pure jack-of-all-trades.
I wonder if Fat Joe gets a royalty check on this one? The production is very solid, but a few other MCs might have been able to do a little more with it. On a side note, Mistah F.A.B. is really excited he got on Snoop's latest album... haha.
