Rapper Stat Quo sat down with me for a radio interview back in April of 2005. During our conversation he excitedly talked about his debut album, Statlanta, which he expected to see hit store shelves later that year. Following our interview Stat embarked on the summer-long Anger Management Tour with Eminem and 50 Cent and was riding high. Unfortunately, that is where this feel good story ends. Following the conclusion of the tour, Stat and Shady Records would spend the next three years delaying the release of the highly-anticipated album. Fast forward to today and Stat has decided that it’s “Now Or Never,” on the DJ Noodles produced Now Or Never Mixtape (which can be found online).
Not bad. I like the beat. It reminds me of the mid-1990's for some reason. This definitely will not meet the status quo (no pun intended) for radio airplay but it will be a great album filler.
I am about to get this mixtape. Stat Quo has an AWESOME flow and his voice is like none other. I like his delivery a lot and I think he has SERIOUS potential. I can't wait for the album. He rips it on here. The beat sounds cool too
He aight but Blaze gassing em with that comment above...........NOW OR NEVER.....I was feeling him when he first came out.....NOW ITS NEVER unfornately
I feelin the beat it got that jazzy mid 90's vibe to it. I like Stat he takes chances and doesn't rap about the same stuff all the time.Stat need to just opt out of his contract cause he is going nowhere staying at Aftermath. I'm surprised he hasn't been dropped already.
i've been jamming stat quo since i first heard "call some hoes" which was awhile ago. and he has still yet to come out with an album...i like this song and his flow is still crazy. get that cd out.
