Since October of ’06, DJBooth has featured Stat Quo six times (see his artist page), in addition to having the ATL rapper jump inside the booth for an interview. While all of his ‘fresh audio’ exclusives seemed promising, none of them propelled SQ’s long-awaited debut album, Statlanta, to the Shady/Aftermath/Interscope starting line. Roughly 18 months later, most of which were filled with anticipation and hope, we bring you Stat’s brand new single, My Ride (Double Bubble). Featuring and produced by fellow Hotlanta resident, B.o.B., the song follows the gentlemen as they ride down the street and spot some hot women. Though playing the song won’t help you scoop chicks, its harmonies and good ol’ fashioned fun is enough to forget about the ride or the honeys.
love this production, very different, but wish the rappers were different cos other artists could EASILY make this song hot with this crazy production! 3.5
Nice production by B.o.B., but the chrous is horrible. I thought I would hate this song as soon as it came on, but Stat Quo really rode the beat well. 4*'s for Statlanta, 2*'s for B.o.B.
I said it before and I'll say it again...I CAN'T WAIT FOR THAT ALBUM FROM STAT to drop! His voice and flow is just so different to me and he is the first one to sound like this; so anyone else trying to get this in; is biting his style. This beat is cool and unique. I like it! Definitely go in rotation!
WOW, i first started listening to Stat when i liked Obie Trice, this is WAY different than what I've heard from him.. I also had to turn the bass down on the subwoofer under my desk, I like having to do that cuz it means the song bangs. However Overall... enh...

This song got an old school twist with new school style...I think this song produced well, his flow is great, and hook is catchy in a good way. Def. will be playing this when it gets warm....reallly loving it!
ummmmm kinda weird feel 2 it...i like hiz flow i like everything except him saying "Double Bubble" and the whole Jamacian feel. huh idk....coulda been betta...i think its done pretty sloppily...idk tho.
Well i havent heard nothing like it. Its got the lip gloss clap goin durin the chorus. im feelin that. I think its fresh something new to give the rap game. i could see this bein a radio hit but not a club hit.
i have mixed feelings aabout this song... It sounds like some kind of new age urban zimbabwe chorus. His lyrics are simplistic... but when it comes together it sounds....*no word to describe*
