At the ripe young age of 23, rapper Stack$ certainly boasts an extensive resume: he is a graduate of a prestigious Maryland prep school, a former student in USC’s esteemed Cinematography program, and also the CEO of his own independent label, SoBe Entertainment. Set to release his long-delayed debut album in late ‘08, entitled CraZee and ConfuZed, the sky is the limit for the youthful rapper-made-entrepreneur. That’s The Way, the newest of several lead singles from the LP, is a reflection on the artist’s various sexual exploits, further elaborated upon by guests Fat Joe and Trina. The suggestive lyrics and Scott Storch’s bass-heavy, far-eastern sounding production make the track perfect for club play.
Ahh, I can finally breathe. Finally, a song with Fat Joe that I can rate over 2 stars. Not to say that this is a banger or anything, but it's better than what Ive heard from him. This song is pretty hot, Joey and Trina are guest features for this type of song, and Stack$ always has that good summer music to ride to. In rotation, pretty good work from these 3.
Scott Storch should have turned the beat up a notch. What's with the unappealing lady vocals in the hook? Stacks$ has a long way to go, but this is a start with Joe Crack and Trina on your record.
Very simple beat from Storch on this one, but it's nice to hear him gettin back at that eastern type of beats...
I don't know how this song gonna do in charts, depends on the video I guess. but for summer it is exactly what we need
I love it when some of our members write the word "old" to describe a track. For example, this song has not been sent to radio, or, been given an OK for video production--- but its old? A song is OLD when it goes into the "recurrent" category at radio and you're hearing it 6 months after it was hot. Stacks is a good friend of ours, but the energy needs to be upped a bit on this one!
it will take some listens to grow on me, just nothing spectacular overall. I heard a joint with Stack$ studded with cole and jeezy, whatever happened to that? thats alot of money to have only heard once in the blog-o-sphere...
Tone + Chef hit hit right on the head. I wish scott would hit us with another banger, I know what he's capible of but this is half ass compared to what I KNOW he can bring. This song is a throw away.
