Contrary to the stereotypical images of ermine-clad kings directing the affairs of their realm from a cushy throne room, leadership ain’t something that happens while you’re sitting on your derriere. Well aware that running his city’s going to involve a whole lot of, well, running, new Grand Hustle signee and Booth newcomer Spodee takes a moment to make sure he’s up to the challenge on standout mixtape inclusion Feet Don’t Fail Me Now. C-Gutta serves up a beat befitting a Southern-fried motivational jam, layering strings and bells over determination-drenched percussion as the headliner exults in his successes to date while keeping his attention squarely in the here and now: ”If the present is a gift I’ma refrain from the past / I’m a young stunna, focused and ready to smash.” Label boss T.I. heads off the pack with a characteristically motivated opening 16, and B.o.B positions himself as an all-time great on the middle. Complete with a chorus by in-house singer Mitchelle’l, this is just one of many fresh cuts to be found on Spodee’s Don Cannon-hosted No Pressure mixtape, released last week.

This song first appeared on the Rap Chart on June 20, 2011

yeah pretty much the same song as on B.o.B.'s mixtape (I thought Kutta produced this???) doesen't feel like a Spodee song, sounds like a T.I. leftover. Didn't hear Mitchelle'l on the chorus. Spodee doesen't get outshined by Tip and B.o.B so I guess thats a good thing

It helps to have popular friends in high places, eh? Spodee has a hard time shining (being remembered) because of T.I. and B.o.B.'s placements on the record, but the look is good regardless.

Sounds like the TI that I grew tired of. He needs to go back to his Trap Muzik days,...

I love this track, but have done so for 6 months or when ever it was that 'b.o.b: no genre' first found its way in to my playlists. If you like this, and you haven't downloaded no genre- well do yourself a favor.

Also- i still can't hear it without hearing "And if the cops every come to wear me down - all i say is feet don't fail me now" from daddy was a street corner. It cracks me up.

Really a 3.5, but can't use that rating so gave it a 4. I like this song and I'm a huge fan of Bobby.

B.o.B and T.I draw attention to this song, but Spodee does a nice job.
