SoulStice - Chi Worldwide (Remix)
Artist: SoulStice
Producer: SBe
Album: Beyond Borders LP
Label: Wandering Soul
Chicago-born and bred emcee SoulStice‘s musical career has taken him a long way from home (he’s currently based in Washington, D.C.), but don’t think for a second that he’s forgotten his roots—no matter where he goes, he’s simply taking Chi Worldwide. Originally featured on a mixtape by G.O.O.D. Music rapper GLC, this cut has been reworked for inclusion on SoulStice’s forthcoming Beyond Borders LP. Over SBe‘s wistfully nostalgic blend of chopped strings and glittering piano samples, SoulStice, GLC, and (newly added for this remix) Kidz in the Hall emcee Naledge each pay tribute to their hometown as they detail their respective journeys to musical success. Chi Worldwide is sure to earn a place of honor on locals’ summer playlists, but the blend of sincerity and swagger all three collaborators bring to the record make this a Windy City anthem listeners worldwide can enjoy. For more globally-appealing jams, grab a copy of SoulStice’s latest album, set to hit record stores and online retailers on the 23rd.

Chicago artists are a step ahead of everyone else in the rap game. Dang! Everyone ripped this! Naledge is EVERYWHERE lately and I couldnt be more happier. GLC is also on the come up with GOOD, and SoulStice impressed on the first song I've heard from him.

I agree with cb, this is my first listen to soulstice and I like him, he's got a nice flow. I also agree that GLC is on the come up, they have had a few good entries on here. I think this song has a good beat and the lyrics compliment it well, neither seems to overide the other they mesh well. For that reason it gets a 3.5 rounded DOWN to 3 stars, in rotation. P.S. I think if Naledge is gonna keep up with all these features he needs to bring some new material, he seems to fall into a "stylistic rutt" when he writes his stuff

The beat sounds good and all these artists sounded fresh with the lyrics. Not quite a banger but still solid.

This is pretty cool. Has a good midwest feel. SoulStice was cool. GLC is pretty good. A lot of people say he is boring but I'm always diggin his songs/features. Naledge is doin some work lately. 3.5, but I'm gonna round up this one.

Good song but not my type, after a while I get bored by this. I love the piano music, his flow is good but I think they don't fit each other

I like the youthelameassnigga.net rhyme. SoulStice kind of sounds like Kanye a little bit. I'm not too big on GLC every song I've heard him on he could not carry a single by himself and always to me seem like he gets outdone by other artist. But still, the beat and SoulStice make it a banger.
