When Soulja Boy dropped the surprising hit, Crank Dat Soulja Boy, it immediately became an international dance craze. Unfortunately, the song didn’t mix well in many clubs across the states (especially those without a wide-open dance floor). For SB’s second single, Soulja Girl, Interscope decided to add-on the newly formed group, i15, and woo radio programmers nationwide with catchy teen appeal. Despite the can’t-fail additions, the original version still wasn’t being mixed at the club. In to solve that problem is the man who made Soulja Boy a star: Mr. ColliPark. The DJ turned label executive, who is also responsible for the success of Hurricane Chris, has remixed Soulja Girl and turned it into the quintessential dance floor record. Boys and girls, this version of the Soulja looks like he’s here to stay.
SOULJA BOY TELLEM .... the beat is nice.... fast and slow at the same time ....its kinda fast but i can see lot of ppl likin this .... i do ha in ROT. BEACHES .... XTRA STAR "YAH B!T@H YAH" haha
WOW..IM SHOCKED I LIKE IT, THO SB CANT RAP THE REPETITIVE LINES GO MUCH BETTER ON THIS THAN THE O.G, MAN NEVA THOUGHT I'D GIVE A SOULJA BOY SONG 3STARS BUT I GUESS HELL FROZE OVER TODAY.
It's amazing that so many of our members would rather jump on Soulja Boy and insult his work, rather than listen to and give feedback on plenty of the other more-than-solid records that we feature on the daily. Hmmmmm....
ColliPark did justice with the beat, but i dont know if it goes with the original verses. Maybe SB shoulda spit something new for the remix. 3 stars...mostly all for the beat
This would really rock in the club if people was mixing house or baltimore club; then dropped this in...it could work, but its not better than the original.
Don't hate the man, hate the music! Soulja Boy may be a disgrace to hip-hop but this remix is pretty good. Collipark does a great job in trying something creative and new from his general crunk influences. A lot of different sounds are on here and they all work well together, the scratches are tight.
ya'll need to stop hatin cause what he is doing is going to pay off one day so haters jump off his dick and get with the young movement ya digg like i always say "good ppl always gettin hated off rip" so fuck haters do ur thing soulja boy
Excuse me DJZ; I understand you’d want your site to have a minimum civilized mood and that the comments on the singles which you offer with an amazing efficiency would be useful for other users to read, as much as we all appreciate such great rap music source! But… come on! :s It’s Soulja Boy!!!!! If there’s an artist who people should have total freedom of speech to complain about, it’s Soulja Boy! He’s a disgrace to rap music, not because we haters, but rather cuz he has a horrible flow, shameful lyrics and no talent we could use to promote rap at all. I believe people are more likely defending rap rather than tryin to insult Soulja Boy.
FredRico: First, I'd like to thank you for being a member. Second, I'd like to remind you, as well as anyone who reads this: your freedom of speech on this comment board is rarely limited when done in a minimally-respectful manner. Understand that we have a very specific 'comment policy' that we need to uphold. With that said, the intentions of my above comments were to get people to comment MORE on newer and unsigned artists; rather than disrespectfully insult Soulja Boy. If you'd like to discuss further, feel free to e-mail me at anytime.
IM TELLING YOU THE BEAT IS GOING BACK TO OLD SCHOOL!.. YO LEFT.. YO LEFT...YO right... YO LEFT... im looking forward for something like quad city dj music... I misunderstood you DJZ and I apologize for that. Tryin to compensate my unfair accusations I started to do what you really wanted: rate new artists. Guess sometimes I don’t do it just for laziness… hehe Peace!
