When I checked my inbox today and Soul Khan popped up as the header, I knew it was going to be a good day (cue the Ice Cube). Sure enough, the Booth-acclaimed and Freestyle Series alum is dropping off a brand new track, Shot Glass Magnified, and damn it’s a good one. Banging it out with NYC collaborator Sene, the dynamic duo wax poetic over their past and the big, big plans they have for the future, especially the Brown Bag All-Star: “I ain’t trying to be that dolphin in that tuna net, I want to be the oval office in that you elect.” Elaquent does well with a mellowed beat that at times reminds me of a hip-hop version of elevator music, allowing for both Khan and Sene to work wonders over their individual bars (special props to Soul, who did surprisingly well on a hook that’s as soulful as it is seemingly nonchalant). If these shots had you tipsy, be sure to drink down Khan’s latest project, Soul Like Khan, when it drops November 16.

After "Shot Glass Magnified," I don't think anyone is ever going to label Khan as "Just another battle rapper trying to make records" ever again. I know the guy has talent, but I was even more impressed than usual.
Elaquent's production didn't do much for me, but what Sene and Khan are able to do over it more than makes up for that.

sene has impressed me before but soul hadnt until now. really good track here. elaqent's beat rocks too! seriously banging track right here.

wow to each there own but i know i just didnt read someone say soul didnt impress them until now. soul is a monsta on any track hes on and sene is great as well. overall this track is what u can expect from two great dudes

I have been listening to Soul Khan for a while now, and i love his talent and work. I have much respect for him. This is a ground breaking performence for him. This seperates him from just being "another". The production was "OK", not that great. The verses are strong and smooth. Great job Soul Khan! Good luck.
