By now, just about all our school-aged readers are enjoying the beginning of that wonderfully lazy three-month vacation that separates one year of academic drudgery from the next—and, if you’re a fella, you’re likely going to be spending much of your Summertime rolling around your hometown, chasing after women. Though music is a full-time job for Solitair, he’s not about to pass up the chance at some warm-weather romance; on his latest single (making its world premiere right here at DJBooth.net), the Black Jays member pays tribute to the season’s beautiful weather, chilled-out get-togethers, and (most importantly) tanned, half-dressed females. In addition to spitting laid-back verses over his own uniquely catchy portamento-synth boardwork, the emcee rises to the occasion with a sung opener and joins fellow T-Dot native Tenisha on the hook—now that’s versatility! Summer vibed music is my favorite type of hip hop, or any kind of feel good music in general. This is a little different of a summer vibe, but the old school-ness is fire. Can defnitely roll with this when my summer 'officially' starts in 2 days.

Heh, cb just reminded me. I am officially a graduate of high school!! I know it aint much, but it's still exciting. :) Not only does that mean more time for the Booth, but it also means...well, more time for the Booth!!! (And my writing, of course. Gotta work on gettin that novel out, you know)
This track is more than I thought it would be. These 3 star ratings had me worried, but it turns out, I like this a lot!! Which is odd for me, considering the old-school vibe. Nonetheless, it's a banger for me!!! Nice summertime jam!!! |

Production is perfect!!
Solitair flows perfect with the beat and with Tenisha's smooth voice over the hook makes this a banger!! Not quite a summer type vibe perhaps but i could bump this in the ride on a nice summer night!! |

This dude's been dropping alot of GOOD music on booth for quite a time now ... Interesting to hear him on a bit lighter mood than his previous joints ...

@BDF44 - Thank you to you too. Yknow, I wasn't quite sure what I wanted to do after high school, other than be a writer, of course. But then I met the Booth, and a few ideas have popped in my head. We'll wait to see if they become more than ideas though (knock on wood). Cross your fingers for me fam. Maybe someday the name Bowwserr will be heard around the globe. That would be a tight pen-name... |

it has nothing to do with this particular track, but I am personally gettin tired of synth sounds everywhere. we need to hear more real instruments, artists/producers who can play actually an instrument! shouldnt that what music is about anyway??
