Washington emcee Sol is currently preparing to embark on a nine-month journey across the globe, funded by a Bonderman travel fellowship the artist received as an honors student at the U of W. By way of a goodbye letter to friends, family and fans, the artist has released Be Good or Be Careful, a brand new cut which finds him contemplating his life circumstances over the atmospheric boardwork of Nima Skeemz. While the P.S. EP has yet to receive a drop date, fans can hear plenty more from Sol on the artist’s iTunes US Hip-Hop Chart-topping album, Yours Truly, released digitally at the top of 2012.

Sol makes you feel like he is telling YOU a story. He is not trying to tell the world a story all at the same time. Every listener wants to feel like there is a connection with their favorite artist and their favorite song from that artist. Sol and his music have the chance to do both.

I like the beat, but I don't like Sol's delivery. Decnt story-telling, but why should lyrics and flow suffer for a story? I need the whole package...
