Time for the easiest pop quiz ever: what do Snoop Dogg and Kid CuDi have in common? The answer, of course, is that they both really enjoy their weed. On this cut off Snoop’s forthcoming Malice in Wonderland re-release, the West Coast veteran and the new-school space cadet join forces to celebrate their mutual love for That Tree. Over Diplo’‘s sparse, percussion-dominated instrumental (which shifts into a tuneful organ groove when CuDi’s sung hook rolls around), the collaborators showcase their very different, but equally blunted flows. Trees won’t disappoint marijuana aficionados looking for a cut to soundtrack their next smoking session, but is its appeal strong enough to ensure that More Malice achieves the big sales numbers that the original, the lowest-charting full-length of Snoop’s career, didn’t? We can only hope. Either way, those craving some fresh material from the Cali icon can find six more previously-unreleased tracks, plus a brand new mini-movie on the deluxe edition of his 10th studio album when it hits stores March 23.

never thought i wud see a snoop and cudi colab...the beat is ok but i heard better snoop...this sound like a cudi song not a snoop song for some reason...is anybody waiting on More Malice...im not gone cop the new one...the hook is pretty nice but not enough to be a big song...cudi is killing...song is pretty forgetable but it would be a good mixtape song

I'm not a Snoop fan, but I probly would be if he'd spit more verses like those. That was one of the best CuDi verses I've heard too. He definitely flowed but kept a little melody too. Great showing by both plus some bangin production.

Only a matter of time before these two linked up on something. This doesn't disappoint.

This song reminded me how much I enjoyed Cudi's debut. As for Snoop, this reminded me how average his last album was... and will be when this "re-release" drops. Rotation.

Cruise control for snoop who should never have appeared on his own song but Cudi's Kanye-esque rhythm and rap save the song

I, for one, LOVE this song. I also like to see Snoop down with new artists...but can we really call Cudi new anymore?

3.5! Beat is pretty good. Snoop Dog was a good but the beat for his lyrics suck ass and Kid Cudi killed it as always. I think the song would have been better if they gave Snoop Dog a better beat with his lyrics.

yeah more of a cudi beat than a snoop beat but snoop didnt do too bad on this. cudi's hook and verse were fire and snoop rounded it out nicely. cudi was by far the stronger performer on this track though

Like the way that the chorus sounds on the chorus beat. Their voices seem to get lost in the verse beat.

This track got me in the mood to have another listen to a couple of tracks off 'Man On The Moon', though it dosnt motivate me to buy the re-release of Malice In Wonderland.

Why bother re-releasing a sub-par album like Malice In Wonderland anyway?

This beat is clean, the verses are pure snoop and the hook is all cudi. I don't really like that background noise during the verses and snoop was average as usual but this is cool other than that.

Snoop's kept himself in the game this long by staying on top of the new ish, and a Cudi collab is evidence of his willingness to work with the new dudes. Didn't love this, but I liked it. It's not you Snoop, it's me.

Oh, and Cudi's "most approachable" line is a little ironic considering he just punched a fan in the face. Classic.

I don’t know what to make of this song, Kid Cudi’s hook didn’t seem too impressive to me. While Snoop holds the beat well, there not enough in this song to make it stand out from the crowd.

Snoop needs to release "Different Languages" as next official single. Doing so will mos def keep the attraction of the product as high as possible.

I would expect a better collaboration from these two... 2.5

You know I dig the simplistic West Coast sound...I was down with the hyphy movement back in '06. Snoop & Cudi both surf that beat from the Pacific to Lake Erie...

Mr. Top Hat - CO-SIGN to the fullest. We need more of Jazzy on the radio.

THAT TREE BABY! That's what it is! LOL!
Snoop still sounds great on a track after all this time. Kid Cudi makes me laugh everytime I hear him sing which is a good thing. Definitely feeling this track! Rotation at least.

it's cool. nothing's really wrong with it besides the fact that Snoop Dogg shouldn't have been outdone by Cudi. not saying Kid Cudi is weak, because he is one of my favorite rappers but Snoop's a legend in the game so he went WEAK on this track. on the other hand, Kid Cudi, tight af.

Diplo's beat is crack! I'm addicted to minimalistic but addictive beats. I like the juxtaposition between the two kinds of verses and the two extremely different abstract styles of Cudi and Snoop. Cudi's hook and verse makes this song a well worth listen to, in my opinion.

The first thing I thought was that someone found a bunch of empty PVC plastic pipes and made a xylophone out of them to create a beat.
It's a little annoying at first, so minus one for that.

I like the hook, but that's as close as Cudi should ever get to singing. Any more and it would have been unbearable.

Ans as always, mad props to Snoop. Maybe a bit more forceful than his usual delivery, but I like it.

Check it out if you're a Snoop or Cudi fan.

Cudster and Snoop make for good ear tv, good colabo, decent production and of course can't argue with the lyrics...the video looks halarious. Ah stoner comedy!
