Sneakas - Negatives
Artist: Sneakas
Producer: //LXG
Album: There's A Rapp For That
Label: Serchlite Multimedia
With his fourth Booth feature released just weeks ago, New York City by way of Israel emcee Sneakas seems set on making his mark on the Booth. As opposed to April’s Neighborhood Watch, which featured Bishop Lamont, Sneakas’ latest release Negatives takes on a more lighthearted tone as he addresses fake rappers and a slew of other phonies. The lyricist drops a bevy of animated rhymes in the song’s first verse including this clever gem: “You don’t need beats by Dre to hear me/ I guess that’s why they fear me/ While all these rappers tell you anything you wanna hear like Siri.” Producer //LXG puts in serious work on the nearly five-minute long record, which features everything from robust piano keys to harsh drum kicks. If Sneakas has made his way onto your radar then check out his cleverly-titled There’s A Rapp For That mixtape when it’s released “soon.”

Sneakas has really grown on me as an artist in the short amount of time since he was first introduced to me earlier this year. His words never ring hollow, they always carry a message and his music transcends just your average hip hop record.
