Smitty takes full advantage of the sampling craze as he enlists Scott Storch to workup a remake of Cutting Crew’s ”I Just Died In Your Arms Tonight.” The sample catches you at first, but Smitty’s lyrics offer a reminder of why his debut album might have been pushed back various times. A great opportunity to make some noise, Smitty comes up short next to the production of Storch and the chorus vocals of Robin Thicke. Unless Smitty wants his career to go belly up, he might want to think twice about resurrecting an old flame that was rightfully put out long ago.
gotta say its not THAT bad. really catchy and its Thicke yet lyrics… lyrics suck “cause i am so cool"… i havent even considered playing smitty… so i guess you aint that cool… sorry
I have never heard of smitty but i love the remake of this song. His lines arnt that bad but the whole remake of a rock song with a rap beat is just nasty....but i have to agree the whole “ cause im s cool” is just stupid.
this song sucks @*#$!… not only does smitty not have the ability to rap, rhyme but he screws up da song… Robin Thicke must been dead to da fact dat smitty was borin him to death… damm… a waste of my life...... he screwed up da memory of “I Just Died In Your Arms”
