After being featured on albums from fellow Bay Area MCs 4-Tay and Messy Marv, Fillmore District representative Slo-O joined forces with production team Checkmate Muzik last October, to produce most of his new album, Devil On My Back. On the most hyped track on the album, We Got It, Slo-O lives up to his name and spits the opposite of a mile-a-minute flow. Assisted by Philadelphia native and former Roc Boy, Freeway, as well as Konvict signee Gypsy Stokes on the hook, We Got It will certainly provide a heavy blast out your car speakers and prove that Bay Area hip-hop is plenty more than just hyphy.

Checkmate Muzik has some real good production, except for a lame drum kit. Slo-O's delivery flow and rapping is sort of lame. When it came in, I couldn't get down with it. He kept it going smoothly, but IDK...I just wasn't feeling it. Gypsy Stokes voice sounds straight, but he could have did way more on the vocals. The engineering on this tracks is ober wack.

This sounds like funeral music. I'm not feelin the production. Dudes flow is kinda generic. Nothin special. Hook is AKON esque. Freeway saves this somewhat. Not really.

Wow, the hook singer is Gypsy Stokes (as is stated in the title and the blurb at the top... again, this is a perfect time to stress READING). Slo-O has a unique flow to say the least, but I really think Free goes hard on this. Okay, need to hear more...

I like this right here. The flow is nice (all artist). Beat has an old school vibe--especially the drum kit. I like this track ... yes, I said that already. Happy B-day Burmy. Enjoy 21! Production is uber-delicious. This is some domino-slapping, XBOX-playing, and BBQ'ing background music. A solid 3.5.

Freeway is dope. Gypsy did nice on the hook, Slo-O didn't do too bad, I can't really get him with Gypsy and Freeway on the track. lol@"sweet, sweet as a raisin" Needs another listen, maybe later.
