When the Houston resurgence happened in the mid-2000s, one H-Town representative didn’t get the shine he was due – Slim Thug. Still chasing the recognition he deserves, the Boss of All Bosses is reloading for another shot at fame on his upcoming album, Tha Thug Show, which today we have a sneak preview of in the form of his new single, So High, featuring B.o.B. Nard & B provide the production, creating a laid-back banger with quick snares, hi-hats and catchy horns that form a head-nodding beat a little more energetic than the title may suggest. Far from your average love song, So High is primarily aimed at the fairer sex and so fittingly finds Thugga rapping in his signature mellow, seductive flow. Picking up B.o.B to lend an energetic verse and an even catchier chorus, So High comes together to form a easily enjoyable trifecta that could give the Miami Heat a run for their money. Will So High be Slim’s re-introduction to the mainstream? We’ll have to wait until the curtains go up on Tha Thug Show this fall to know for sure.

This is a great look for Slim Thug. Not sure the song will translate into a mainstream success story, but fans of both artists will be pleased. It is good to hear new Thugga (thought I prefer his music to be a little more rooted in the streets.)

Its not bad. I'm just not into thug love songs. Decent verses, BoB is consistently proving he can do just about anything. Its good to see Slim Thug back- but lets see what else you got.

I think it's pretty much unanimous. There's nothing really wrong here, but it's hard to see this one really taking off on national radio. B.o.B. should have brought in Bruno Mars to help, then we'd be talking about a number one.

I dunno.. to be fair i was easily distracted from this track while listening.. so i listened again n was distracted again... apart from the fact that i have a short attention span lol i'm just tryna say... the song aint bad, but it aint great, like joshL said it just sound generic... yea that was nice...next.

This is a decent track from Thug, it’s more appealing than I thought it would be. I’m not a big fan of B.o.B’s part, I would have liked to heard a verse from him.

I've never really been a fan of Slim, and the mainstream version of B.o.B doesn't usually excite me much either. Add the generic, radio-like beat, and you come to around 1.5 stars. I'd also like to comment that the flow Bobby Ray is using is very forgettable. In fact, he should never replicate it again, it just didn't work.

This song has alot of energy about it but I just feel it's missing that EXTRA beat or something? If it had that BOOM factor to it, I'm sure a good remix of that would put my 3 up to a 4. Very chilled.
