If you’ve been following the Booth lately, you’ve probably noticed that a remixed lead single is often pushed heavily right before an album’s release. Slim Thug is clearly well-acquainted with this strategy, and in anticipation of the March 24th release of sophomore album Boss of All Bosses, he’s released the official remix to hit lead single I Run (the widely-publicized “Texas Remix” flyer has been proven fake). The record’s real remix features two of H-Town’s most respected MCs. After Chamillionaire shows that, though he’s become hip-hop’s celebrity spokesman, he’s still all about that underground money, Z-Ro lets the world know that rumors of his demise have been greatly exaggerated. E1 Music may be taking the female-oriented approach on second single Smile, but Slim Thug hasn’t lost a single ounce of underground appeal—after all, he managed to sell a million in the Houston streets before scoring a major deal.

Slim kept the original beat and hook for the remix, which is cool, I liked both of those. I wish he would have come with a new verse, though. Cham was tight on here, as well as Z-Ro. In rotation.

Jim Jonsin brings the dope production as always and Koopa, Slim & Z-Ro all bring some hard lyrics. The hook sounds pretty hot too this will be gettin a lot of plays for me!

this song def has a good feel to it, good production/chorus/lyrics. Chamillionare verse rounds it up to a 4 instead of 3.

Cham is underrated and it drives me crazy. I pushed Creepin pretty hard through milwaukee and the same with this slim thug. This version is a lot more playable than the original.

I never really gave a good listen to the original, but dis remix is a good look.... cos u cant go wrong wit Koopa on the feat ... & Z-Ro's laid back flow doesn’t sound lazy! ... Certified Hood Banga !!! after a mediocre verse gets by Slim ,song jumps up a few notches once Cham gets on the mic....

I liked the original more as Slim Thugga straight up killed it, while i didnt feel the same way about Z-Ro & to a degree Chamillionaire (though I am a fan of Cham) on this. This wont get as many plays as the original, though It still will get some plays. 3.5

chamillionaire rips this, he always...ALWAYS.. got great things to say, way underrated, he is one of the best lyrical MCs and can still make a song hot ... he is a true artist... z-ro did pretty good as well... if his song wasnt so played out (the original version) id like this song better, but these radios man.... still a 4.5, simply cuz of C and Z-ro did amazing, big ups to slim too

BANGER! Slim Thug keeps his hard verse which I still like. I love Chamillionaire (favorite rapper), his voice is so refreshing and I am fiending some Venom. He got me with that "cock and loaddddddddddd!" line. Z-Ro is nice with his fast flow and is entertaining. Insane production by Jim Jonsin.

I have always thought that remixes like this in which they don't change anything in the production but they only add verses of other rappers are quite useless. This song is basically like the first edit, so my rating is the same. Chamillionaire and Z-Ro sound good but I mainly like Slim Thug and the production, so nothing really changes to me

This track brings the heat and it revisits Flock of Seagulls but adds a breath of fresh air and make it their own. Slim Thug and Cham are on point lyrically where they don't usually fail. 4.5/5 Banger.
